Newport RFC were very sad to hear of the passing of loyal supporter Mike Cooze. Mike has been a Newport supporter for a very long time and was active as a fundraiser for Friends of Newport Rugby selling thousands of lottery tickets and also leading the ‘Red Lion Bar Boys’ who sponsor our captain Ben Roach.
A celebration of Michael’s life will take place on Thursday 5th February at Langstone Crematorium at 3pm followed by refreshments at The Red Lion, Stow Hill. Friends of Mike are encouraged to wear Newport RFC colours.
The club sends its condolences to Lesley and her family. Mike will be sorely missed.
