On Saturday Newport travel to Carmarthen to face The Quins in the SRC Cup Competition. The coaches have made several team changes as they rotate the squad.

SRC Cup format:
All ten SRC clubs will take part in the competition but split into two pools:
Pool A: Cardiff, Carmarthen Quins, Newport, Pontypool, RGC
Pool B: Aberavon, Bridgend, Ebbw Vale, Llandovery, Swansea.
Each team will play the other four in their pool and then:
The top placed team in A will play second placed team in B
The top placed team in B will play second placed team in A
The winners will meet in the final at a neutral ground.
The 3rd and 4th placed teams will play in the ‘Plate’ competition.
