NEWPORT v SWANSEA

Let’s hope that we don’t get a hurricane, a flood or a snowstorm and we can watch a game of rugby on Saturday.  These breaks because of bad weather are very frustrating for players, coaches and, of course, supporters.

Swansea are having a poor season if you look at the league table but closer scrutiny tells us that in many of their losses they were very competitive until the closing stages of the games.  Last season, Newport lost at home to Swansea, a loss that cost us dearly when it came to the play-offs, so we need to see an eighty minute performance from the Black & Ambers.

Injuries and unavailability mean some changes to the team selected for the Bridgend game with Will Reed coming in for Matt O’Brien and Elliot Frewen and Dai Richards starting in the three-quarters
