Newport against Cardiff at Rodney Parade! It doesn’t get much better than this. Both clubs got off to a poor start to the season but it seems that they are back on track with the Blue & Blacks having won their last three games and the Black & Ambers winning their last two. Cardiff are in fourth place in the league and are playing some good rugby. Playing at Rodney Parade brings out the best in Newport so we can expect the usual attractive, high-scoring game that we get from these two old rivals.
Our captain, Ben Roach, plays his 100th game for the Black & Ambers and he reaches this milestone in just over four seasons. Included in these 100 games is an incredible run of 60 consecutive games – a fantastic achievement. Congratulations, Ben, and I hope I’m around to help celebrate your 200th!
