NEWPORT v BRIDGEND

On Saturday Bridgend visit Newport Stadium to play a Newport team with a run of twelve victories behind them.  Although the Black & Ambers have a nine-point lead over second placed Llandovery they need another win to keep the pressure on their rivals.  The Drovers are also in good form and can get fifteen points from their last three games.

Bridgend are ninth in the table with three games to play and, although they’ve not had a good season by their standards, they will be looking forward to competing in the new Elite Domestic Competition next season.  They play an adventurous brand of rugby and are capable of scoring from any part of the field.

Once again the coaches rotate the squad and it’s a much changed starting fifteen that takes the field.
