Adam Jones has made the short move up the A48 from Cardiff to Newport to add strength in depth to the centre options. The tall, quick and hard tackling centre will provide experience and depth to the Black and Amber backs.
Ty Morris quoted, ‘We needed to add a greater competitive edge to our midfield. Adam brings with him a wealth of premiership experience. I know he is keen to get back to his best by driving standards forward for the team and other individuals.
Comfortable at both 12 & 13, Adam provides competition to Tom Pascoe and fills the gap vacated by Chay Smith’s move to The Ospreys/Aberavon.
In other news, watch out for Newport favourite Jonny Morris in the centre as he has expressed an interest in moving into the 13 shirt.
