The Newport team was disappointed that last week’s game against Llandovery was postponed due to a frozen pitch. After two good wins they were really up to face the high-flying Drovers. Now they look forward to travelling to The Dunraven Brewery Field to face a Bridgend outfit who themselves are starting to put as winning run together. Good wins against Carmarthen away and Pontypridd at home have started to move Bridgend up the league table. The Black and Ambers will need to be at their best to continue their winning run.
Newport only make minimum changes from the side selected for last week. Matt Bancroft is still set to make his first start with Matt O’Brien moving out to inside centre.
