The club has received the sad news that former player, Brian Scrivens, has passed away. He played for Newport from 1955 – 1960, a very successful time for Newport RFC, and was a member of the team that beat Australia in 1957.
Described by our Club President, B J Jones, as “a true Newport boy and very talented”.
The funeral will take place in Cumbria and is for family only.
