After going so close last Saturday, away to Llandovery, Newport now have two home games, the first against Aberavon and then against RGC. The game away to Aberavon early in the season was played in terrible weather conditions and was lost by just four points despite a spirited comeback in the last quarter.
Both teams have the same league record, played 10 and won 4, with Newport being two places higher due to bonus points. With only eight league games left to play, the Black & Ambers will be aware that they need to get some valuable league points.
