50 up for Frewen

By Kevin Jarvis | 02/01/2018

When Elliot Frewen stretched to score his try on Saturday it was the 50th occasion that he had scored a try for Newport RFC. On the pitch briefly as a temporary 'blood replacement' it didn't take the flying winger long to make his mark and get another five points for his tally.

Elliot is in his seventh season with Newport and has 130 appearances under his belt and will be hoping that this try signals a return to fitness and form for the popular winger who has missed most of the season due to injury.

The 30 year old fire fighter from Bridgend is Newport's try record scoring premiership player with 46 and will be hoping to add many more to that total both this season and in the future.
